RECYCLED SCULPTURE CONTEST

Using locally sourced recycled materials, create a sculpture around the theme. Our goal is to promote sustainable habits and to reduce the amount of recyclable materials that end up in our landfills.

ILLUSTRATED POEM CONTEST

The Portneuf Valley Environmental Fair and ISU Chemistry Club are sponsoring an illustrated poem contest for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Entries will be accepted in English, Spanish, and Shoshone.

GUIDELINES

  • AGES:  K–12.
  • THEME:  Batteries: Get a Charge Out of Chemistry
  • PRIZES:  Cash prizes for local contest winners! Winners will also advance to the National Illustrated Poetry Contest for a chance to be featured on the American Chemical Society website and win additional prizes!

POSTER CONTEST

This is a national contest organized by the National Association of Conservation Districts. Our local division contest will be administered by the Portneuf Soil and Water Conservation District. Entries will be accepted in English, Spanish, Shoshone, and Braille.

ECOFILM CONTEST

Rotary District 5400’s Environment Stewardship Action Team is holding a student video contest about climate solutions. Winners will be announced during the fair in the Marshall Public Library Community Room.

GUIDELINES

  • AGES:  High school students.
  • THEMES:  Everything from electric vehicles to solar, recycling, diet and more!
  • PRIZES:  First Place: $1000
         Second Place: $750
         Third Place: $500
         Runners Up (2): $200 each
