Lead Testing
Lead Safe and Healthy Homes
The City of Pocatello’s Lead Safe and Healthy Homes Program will be offering free lead testing of toys, trinkets, pottery and ceramics, costume jewelry, small painted items, vintage glassware, small appliances/utensils, and paint chips.
Go to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s website and click on “Sources of Lead Exposure” to learn more about lead exposure.
Nitrate Testing
The Idaho Rural Water Association (IRWA) will be providing free nitrate testing. Please collect water samples in a sealed container. No more than one cup of water will be needed per sample. Limit of up to 3 samples per person.
